The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), in a meeting on Thursday with telecom honchos, said that the regulator’s order on call drop penalty is valid and will be effective from 1st January 2016. The telecom operators earlier had written to TRAI requesting reconsideration on the call drop penalty of Re 1 per call dropped for upto three calls a day.
