The UN Security Council has granted a sanctions waiver... allowing family members separated during the Korean War to hold reunions using video conference calls.
A foreign ministry source told Arirang TV on Saturday... that the UNSC had given Seoul permission to send a range of equipment needed for the video connection to the North,... including cameras.
All 15 members of the council reportedly gave the green light,... including the U.S.,... which is also working on exemptions to unilateral North Korea sanctions to support this effort.
This is also in line... with promises made by the two Koreas during their third summit in Pyeongyang to resume family reunions.
