While China keeps blocking India’s efforts to list JeM Chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist for its economic interests in Pakistan, it appears Pakistan has also dialled down its support for Muslim Uighur brethren whom the China is accused of oppressing and imprisoning in prison-like camps. Pakistan had censured Beijing in the past but has muted its criticism over the crackdown on ethnic minority uighurs in China. It is believed that in return for this, China is shielding Masood Azhar and blocking the ban on his listing time and again.
