Manohar Parrikar, a man of simplicity was known for his love for Goa and worked towards the betterment of the state until his last days . Parrikar once asked for his dressing sense and then he replied, I am uncomfortable wearing western outfits like suits. He was always dressed in Half Sleeved Untucked Shirt and was often seen riding a Scooter, standing in a queue waiting his number.


गोवा मुख्यमंत्री और पूर्व रक्षा मंत्री मनोहर पर्रिकर लोकप्रिय राजनेता होने के बावजूद बेहद सरल जिंदगी जीते थे । पर्रिकर को आम जनता स्कूटी वाला मुख्यमंत्री बुलाया करते थे और वो फ्लाइट हो या सरकारी दफ्तर में आम जनों के साथ लाइन में खड़े होकर अपनी बारी का इंतजार करते हुए कई बार देखे गए है । विधानसभा पहुंचना हो या किसी सार्वजिक स्थल पर स्कूटी चलाकर वहां पहुंचने से भी नहीं हिचकते थे ।
