Typhoon force winds, dry weather in store

Time now for the weather update, we have our weather caster Lee Jee-hyun in Seoul's Yangjaecheon stream for us, one of the popular sites for cherry blossom season. Jee-hyun, our team was discussing until very last minute to whether cancel today's outdoor weather report as Korea's eastern regions are dealing with severe wildfire. Hope the weather co-operate for the conditions there, and give us a glimpse of Yangjaecheon stream.
Good morning, Mark. Well, as we can see cherry blossoms started to bloom in Seoul as well, Yangjaecheon stream is turning into more of spring colors, getting ready for their big annual event which kicks off today. But wildfires that have been breaking out across the country is worrying citizens and strong gusts and continuous extreme dry conditions are no help at all. We are talking about typhoon force winds across much of the country.
Over in Gangwon-do Province and regions in the east are having wind speed of 10 to 20 meters per second, it was stronger overnight, when wind speeds reach maximum of 17 meters per second we call the tropical depression so regions in the east are dealing with some severe weather conditions. Not to mention dry weather warnings are also in place there, and conditions don't look any better for the blazing sight.
Temperature-wise, temperatures have gotten a lot more bearable, spring jackets should be enough for your morning commute, though Saturday is looking a bit rainy for most areas.
But toay should be a mostly sunny one, but morning lows are kicking off few degrees higher, double digits for Jeju .
Big gaps in readings continue in most areas, daily highs will be in the upper teens to twenties. Seoul at 23 degrees.
Weekend is upon us, if you are planning for outdoor activities, camping, hiking... use extra caution.
