Finance chiefs and central bank governors of the world's major economies are meeting in Washington to discuss the prospects and risks facing the global economy.
The Bank of Korea says Governor Lee Ju-yeol is also attending the G20 Meetings of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors.
Lee is also scheduled to attend annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group on Friday to discuss ways to stabilize the global financial system.
The trip comes ahead of central bank's monetary policy meeting scheduled for next week, where the BOK's 2019 growth forecast for the South Korean economy is expected to be released.
