Claudia Ortiz - a director of the stalking charity Veritas - has criticised police response to victims, saying that "people still face a postcode lottery in relation to the response to stalking". Shana Grice was murdered by her ex-boyfriend in 2016 after Sussex Police had fined her for wasting police time for reporting him. A new report by HM Inspectorate of Constabulary, Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS) found that police forces in England and Wales are failing to investigate stalking allegations properly. Ms Ortiz said: "It's not a problem just in Sussex; it's a problem nationally". Report by Jonesia. Like us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/itn and follow us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/itn
