Sudan's military has overthrown and arrested President Omar al-Bashir after months of protests against his nearly 30-year rule.
On Thursday, the head of the Supreme Security Committee announced the formation of a military-led transitional government which will be in charge of the country for the next two years.
But the military coup has sparked anxiety among protesters that are now demanding a civilian council to lead the transition rather than a military one.
Meanwhile, Sudan's state security agency, said the authorities will release all political detainees.
