개성공단 입주기업 86.2% “공단 폐쇄 후 경영악화”
A new poll shows most of the South Korean companies that had business at the inter-Korean Gaeseong Industrial Complex have gone through tough times since it was shut down three years ago.
The Korea Federation of SMEs surveyed 108 companies that once operated at the complex.
More than 85 percent of them said business has gotten worse since the complex was shut down in 2016 after North Korea's fourth nuclear test.
The main reason, they said, was they're running out of money.
All the firms said the want to go back to Gaesong, so the Korea Federation of SMEs has called on the government to do more to get it reopened.
