President Moon Jae-in has asked the National Assembly to press ahead with two new justice nominees for the Constitutional Court -- after lawmakers failed to adopt reports on their confimation hearings by Monday's deadline.
According to the top office, he asked the reports for Lee Mi-sun... and Moon Hyung-bae... be approved by Thursday.
Opposition parties have protested Lee's appointment because of her husband's dubious stock trading activity, which she denies being involved in.
The president can still appoint the nominees even if the reports are not approved,... and is likely to do so by Friday as their predecessors' terms end Thursday.
