Fani has hit cyclone on the east coast in Puri on May 3rd morning and it came after traversing for nearly 10 days over the sea, gathering speed and strength, making it into an ESC. Fani started developing around the Equator and moved upwards and has a speed of 175 kmph. The Met department has issued a "yellow warning" for Odisha, predicting heavy to very heavy rain in several areas. Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh have been placed on high alert too.The Indian Cricket Fraternity tweeted prayers for Odisha after Cyclone Fani made landfall in Puri.
