Scores of tourists queue outside Buckingham Palace in central London to get a peek at the easel announcing the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s baby boy.
The message was placed in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace on Monday afternoon.
According to UK media, it was brought out just after 4.45pm from the Privy Purse Door.
The announcement reads: "The Queen and the Royal Family are delighted at the news that Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex was safely delivered of a son at 0526am today. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."
“It was really exciting,” said one tourist from Ireland.
One tourist from Canada said she had visited the palace unaware of the royal baby announcement.
