During the annual security talks, discussions centered around military cooperation and regional security issues.

Military officials from South Korea, the United States and Japan gathered in Seoul on Thursday... for their annual security talks aimed at strengthening regional security and defense cooperation.
South Korea's Deputy Minister for National Defense Policy Chung Suk-hwan , U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs Randall Schriver and Takeshi Ishikawa, director general for defense policy of Japan attended the 11th Defense Trilateral Talks.
The three representatives expressed their willingness to achieve complete denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula.
They also said they will keep close tabs on the developments concerning North Korea's recent firing of projectiles.
The three sides reaffirmed their promise to implement UN Security Council resolutions and sanctions, especially the ones that bar North Korea's nuclear and missile activities.
Seoul, Washington and Tokyo further stressed their trilateral cooperation in security is key to maintaining stability and peace in the region and pledged to boost their joint military drills, senior-level policy negotiations, and exchange information.
The annual security dialogue was first launched in 2008.
