Seoul's finance chief says the bio-health sector, along with the current ICT and medical personnel, can be South Korea's next promising sector, following the success of the nation's semiconductor industry.
Chairing a meeting aimed at revitalizing the economy on Wednesday, Finance Minister Hong Nam-ki said the government will soon lay out a comprehensive innovation plan focused on R&D and support for deregulation.
He said the bio-health industry is a promising one that grows five-point-four percent a year in average... and is predicted to reach a global market size of up to ten trillion U.S. dollars by 2022.
