James Comey slammed William Barr on Friday.
Former FBI Director James Comey slammed Attorney General William Barr in a tweet on Friday.
"The AG should stop sliming his own Department," Comey wrote. "If there are bad facts, show us, or search for them professionally and then tell us what you found. An AG must act like the leader of the Department of Justice, an organization based on truth. Donald Trump has enough spokespeople."
The tweet comes as CBS News reports, citing recent interview, that Barr is "not backing down from claims that he believes unauthorized spying took place on President Trump's campaign during the 2016 presidential election as the Justice Department makes moves to investigate the origins of the Russia probe."
Last month, Barr told a Senate panel about Trump's 2016 campaign, "I think spying did occur."
And though Barr fought back against criticism over his use of the word, FBI Director Christopher Wray later stated, "That's not the term I would use."
