Several animal welfare groups held a peaceful demonstration to protest the shooting and killing of a dog by the Ipoh City Council.

The demonstration by Noah's Ark Ipoh, The Stray Diary (Ipoh), Ipoh Mutts and Mittens and Humane Society Ipoh was held following a viral video showing a city council worker shooting and killing a stray dog at Pengkalan Gate on Wednesday.

The group also demanded for the council to come up with a better solution in handling strays.
