Four persons including three BJP workers were injured in a clash between BJP and SDPI workers during a rally taken out by BJP workers in Malappuram town on late Thursday to celebrate the second NDA govt coming to power at the centre. As per police, the incident occurred when the rally reached the railway station road in the Tanur town. After the clash, a violent mob attacked a fruit shop and damaged a motor bike and a car parked in the area. Police resorted to lathicharge and lobbed tear gas shells to disburse the mob. It is also alleged that stones were pelted at a mosque in the town.
