Dosa Chutney is one of the most consumed dishes in India, though it originated from South India we can find it at almost each and every corner of India. Here are the simple and quick recipe of Dosa and coconut green chutney.
Healthy dosa (Urad daal and rice) - ingredients and method
Ingredients :
Spilt black lentils with skin - 1 bowl
Rice - 2 bowls
Coconut - 1/2 grated /chopped
Curd - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves - 1 bowl
Curry leaves - 1 string
Green chillies - 4-5
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Garlic - 4-5 cloves
Roasted Chana dal - 2 tbsp
Method :
Grind Overnight soaked urad dal and rice separately in the morning. Make batter by mixing urad dal with skin and rice paste and keep for 3-4 hrs aside.
Chutney : take chopped coconut, ginger, garlic, green chillies, roasted chana dal and salt in a small chutney jar and grind them until medium coarse texture, add coriander leaves, 2 tbsp curd, 4 tbsp water and 1 tbsp sugar, grind until smooth paste (add more water if required to get the desired consistency and mix well. Transfer it to serving bowl. Heat oil in a small pan, add mustard seeds when they begin to crackle, add curry leaves and saute for few seconds. Take pan off from gas and immediately pour tempering over chutney and mix well.
Dosa : take the batter of dosa and put 1 tsp salt (as per taste) and make dosa, serve it with chutney.
