A waiter balanced a total of 17 food-filled plates, 14 on one arm and three on the other, before serving it at a restaurant in Bukittinggi, Indonesia.

The waiter's incredible skills were captured on June 8, showing off the traditional way of serving customers in authentic restaurants in West Sumatra.

The waiter, named Edi, claimed he can carry 28 plates at once, commenting: "It took two to three years to study this skill.

"When I studied it I often dropped plates with the consequence that I had to pay for the broken plate."
