North Korea is urging the U.S. to change its calculations,... adding a reminder that the deadline for their nuclear negotiations to resume is the end of this year.
Kwon Jong-gun, who's in charge of U.S. affairs at Pyeongyang's foreign ministry, issued the statement on Thursday.
He said North Korea-U.S. dialogue won't resume unless the U.S. offers a realistic measure that satisfies both sides.
He stressed the deadline is indeed the end of this year and the North means it.
The official denounced South Korea as well, saying Pyeongyang and Washington are the two parties involved and therefore, don't need South Korea's mediation.
He added... while Seoul says dialogue is ongoing between the two Koreas behind the scenes, nothing is happening.
