Elderly S. Korean man defects to North Korea, following footsteps of parents

A South Korean man has travelled illegally to Pyeongyang for permanent relocation,... according to North Korea's propaganda website Uriminzokkiri on Sunday.
The 73-year-old man named Choe In-guk , arrived in the North Korean capital on Saturday,... with photos showing he was welcomed by local officials.
He was quoted as saying that he'd followed the path of his parents.
Choe is the son of Ryu Mi-yong , the late chairwoman of Pyeongyang's minor political party and Choe Tok-sin , South Korea's former foreign minister.
The couple defected to the North in 1986, leaving behind five children.
The younger Choe did not obtain permission from the government for his trip to North Korea.
The South's authorities are aiming to find out the exact motive for his journey.
