Good morning. Temperatures will rise today, but it'll be fairly bearable considering it's Chobok, the day marking the start of the month-long period of sweltering weather that usually hits Korea around this time of the year.
Expect sporadic rain in some upper regions, including parts of Gangwon-do and Gyeonggi-do Provinces, during the day. The capital could also see some isolated showers in the evening.
It's a big day in Gwangju as the 2019 FINA World Aquatics Championships kick off tonight, the weather will be warm and humid for the opening ceremony, and we will see 29 degrees Celsius this afternoon. The rest of the country will also see highs in the upper twenties.
We have passing rain in the forecast this weekend and through early next week for much of the country so keep an umbrella with you.
That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
