Governor Andrew Cuomo wants the Dep. of Financial Services to investigate a state-regulated advertiser.
The issue was whether they were using Facebook Inc’s advertising platform in a discriminatory manner.
This is the second investigation that Cuomo has ordered into the social media company this year.
In February, Cuomo ordered two state agencies to investigate a report about Facebook.
The report suggested Facebook may be accessed far more personal information from smartphone users.
