According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, Bank of America said that it will no longer finance the operators of private prisons and detention centers, joining peers in distancing itself from a sector that has sparked protests over the Trump administration's immigration policies. Earlier this year, JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo reportedly made similar commitments to stop financing private prison companies.
