Meanwhile, the heat will get more intense. Not to mention today is Jungbok, the middle of the hottest part of summer in Korea. Living up to the term, a heat wave advisory is in place for much of the peninsula.
Daily highs will range from 29 to 34 degrees. One popular dish to eat on Jungbok is samgyetang, a soup made with chicken and ginseng to help you cope with the heat.
Many of us will feel uncomfortable in the afternoon, high humidity will be no help.
Drink plenty of water and try to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during the day.
