MANILA - Despite the growing tensions in Korea, the Department of Foreign Affairs said there is no imminent threat of attack in the peninsula. In an interview on ANC's Headstart, DFA spokesman Raul Hernandez said they continue to monitor the situation with international agencies. But Hernandez insisted the Philippine Embassy in South Korea is ready to carry out its contingency plan for Filipinos in case violence breaks out. Meanwhile, an analyst said North Korea is merely executing hollow threats. Global security expert Rommel Banlaoi said the communist country is taking an offensive stance as a reaction to perceived provocation from the United States. Mornings@ANC, April 8, 2013
