The Equestrian Club of Santiago is a racecourse that is located in the Barrio República de Santiago de Chile . It was founded in 1869 , being the first equestrian center of Santiago for horse racing . Its first president was Francisco Baeza Sotomayor and the first race organized in this club was on September 20 , 1870 .
