장마 끝났다더니 폭우
Just when we thought we would be getting clear skies after the monsoon rain, heavy showers have returned to Korea's central region.
Seoul and surrounding areas were drenched in overnight downpours, with parts of the west coast receiving up to 125 millimeters of precipitation.
Several heavy rain advisories and warnings were issued this morning, but were lifted in the afternoon.
Weather authorities say the latest bout of rain is not part of this year's monsoon - which has ended - but the result of heat and air pressure coupled with an unstable atmosphere.
The rain is expected to last until tomorrow.
