Maya is an Italian production of a supernatural slasher with ancient Mayan gods picking off townspeople in preparation for their Day of the Dead celebration. Unfortunately for us, some of those people include really lousy American caricatures (specifically in the form of two really obnoxious American punks from Texas), but they didn't take away from the movie at all.

Even though the story was a bit scattered [i.e. nonsensical and all over the place in insensitive, historical Mexican vagueness], it somehow held together and managed to keep my attention, the decent murder sequences surely helped! There's a bathtub/nose crush scene that had to be watched a couple times over!
