Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the welfare of Malaysian Muslims performing the haj pilgrimage will remain a top priority thanks to Tabung Haji's effective preparation.

The premier said that in his speech at the sending-off ceremony on Sunday, which saw a total of 483 pilgrims departing for the Holy Land.
