Organisers of the Bristol balloon fiesta's have cancelled both of the mass ascents scheduled on Friday (August 9) due to poor weather.

A fiesta spokeswoman told BristolLive: "The balloons were unable to fly today because of 'high winds' despite the lack of rain."

Yesterday saw a huge Darth Vader from the "Star Wars" movies travel above the city's skyline, including over the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge.
