'혐한방송' DHC, 유통업계 제품철수•정유미 모델활동 중단 선언
The Korean branch of Japanese cosmetics firm, DHC, apologized on Tuesday. The company has been under fire as recent discriminatory and false remarks about Korea were aired through the company's in-house channel, and eventually uploaded on the internet. It was just a matter of time before netizens discovered DHC's posts, and their anger has turned into calls for boycott.

The Korean branch of Japanese cosmetics and dietary supplement supplier DHC said it officially apologizes over some recent controversial and inappropriate comments that were aired on the company's in-house broadcasting channel and later uploaded on Youtube.
DHCKorea said it does not agree with the discriminatory and false remarks made by DHC TV. Moreover, the Korean branch said it will urge its headquarters in Japan to refrain from allowing such incorrect and offensive content to be aired in the future.
Beauty stores across Korea have condemned such comments and have begun to boycott DHC products.
"Major health and beauty stores have also joined the boycott by stop selling the products."
Olive Young halted sales of DHC products from their online store and replaced the products in offline stores. Other brands, Lalavla and LOHB's also stopped selling DHC products or halted new orders from the brand.
"Currently, our store do not sell DHC's products. We don't know yet when we can start selling those products again."
Actress Jeong Yu-mi, who has been one of the faces representing the company, announced on Monday that she requested the suspension of her contract with DHCKorea, and asked the company not to use her image to promote its products anymore.
