President Moon Jae-in met with the heads of his advisory panels at the Blue House today to review the progress that's been made on various state policies.
It was the first such meeting in nine months.
According to Cheong Wa Dae Spokesperson Ko Min-jung,... the president thanked the advisors for how they've been steadily changing Korean society.
He also acknowledged the difficulties they may have faced due to differences with other departments.
In the meeting, the participants addressed the need for creative, small-scale employment policies.
They also discussed the importance of research and development.
The head of the Presidential Committee on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, said R&D is based on uncertainty, and so the country needs the strength to endure such uncertainty.
President Moon has been emphasizing the need for more R&D to make local firms more competitive amid the trade dispute with Japan.
