MANILA -- The National Bureau of Investigation's probe into the death of Ozamis gang leader Ricky Cadavero and his henchman Wilfredo Panogalinga Jr. will continue even if the Philippine National Police has already submitted its findings. Department of Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said the NBI is currently gathering more evidence and looking at the possible connection of the case to the arrest of two Chinese drug convicts. She added the DOJ is preparing charges against Senior Superintendent Jose Mario Espino of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group's Anti-Organized Crime Division for exposing the identities of two witnesses under government protection. The witnesses accused the CIDG team of taking drugs and money during the capture of drug lord Jackson Dy and his wife. ANC Headstart, July 26, 2013
