Following North Korea's recent missile tests... Washington's nuclear envoy Stephen Biegun is to arrive in Seoul this afternoon,... to talk with his South Korean counterparts on solidifying security cooperation between South Korea, Japan and the U.S.
On Wednesday, the U.S. point-man on North Korea will likely ask South Korea to extend its military intelligence sharing agreement with Japan.
The ongoing trade friction with Japan led South Korea to reconsider the deal which will be automatically renewed unless Seoul decides to scrap it by this Saturday.
Biegun will also likely talk with South Korean officials about the possible working level talks between North Korea and the U.S.
