Starting Wednesday, customers at smaller banks in South Korea will be able to change their direct debit payments online.
The Financial Services Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service say they plan to offer direct debt account transferring services for smaller banks,... through an account management website called 'Payinfo'.
Up until now, customers of smaller banks have been able to view or cancel their direct debits online,… but couldn't change the account that the money is sent from.
Now they will be able to make these changes for free through the 'Payinfo' website or through mobile applications.
