DONALD TRUMP was heavily dissuaded from meeting Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the G7 summit in France earlier this week.
The US President was subject to a barrage of calls from Mr Netanyahu after Mr Zarif made a surprise arrival in Biarritz. The Iranian Foreign Minister was invited by French President Emmanuel Macron as the leader sought to simmer tensions between Washington and Tehran.
