MANILA - Sen. Nancy Binay and her brother, Makati Mayor Junjun Binay, voted early on Monday in the barangay elections. The lady senator said she expects a high turnout of voters because barangay officials have direct contact with people. She urged residents to vote wisely, saying that barangay officials "are the ones who tell mayors and senators about the projects that are needed." She also admitted that there is a high turnout of senior citizens voting in the Makati barangay polls. "Masipag sila bumoto especially since they are retired and nakakatutok sila sa services na binibigay ng pamahalaan," she said. MORNINGS@ANC, OCTOBER 28, 2013
