MANILA - A Filipino lawmaker has filed a resolution thanking the late Hollywood star Paul Walker for his contributions to the victims of super typhoon Yolanda. House Resolution 577, filed by Negros Occidental 3rd District Rep. Alfredo "Albee" Benitez, praised the "Fast and Furious" star for setting up a charity event to help raise money for victims of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) in the Philippines. Walker, 40, died in a car crash during the charity event. The resolution noted that Reach Out Worldwide, a non-profit disaster relief group the actor founded, also sent 12 disaster respondents to typhoon-hit areas in the country. A Reach Out spokesman earlier said Walker had a special love for the Philippines. Before his death, Walker taped a video with his fellow "Fast and Furious" co-stars to send encouragement to Filipinos. Report by Jon Ibanez, RADIO DZMM, December 4, 2013
