MANILA – President Aquino on Monday announced a P10,000 anniversary bonus for employees of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). In his speech during the agency’s 80th anniversary celebration, Aquino praised the DOLE for its help in responding to super typhoon "Yolanda." He also said the number of labor strikes in the country remains low since 2010, according to data from the National Conciliation and Mediation Board. He also said he hopes the anniversary bonus will encourage DOLE employees to continue the good work. ANC, December 9, 2013
