The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has revoked the franchise of the Don Mariano Transit Corporation over a series of violations, including a December road accident that killed 21 people. They found a tampered chassis on that bus which plunged from the Skyway and landed on another vehicle. The LTFRB also considered Don Mariano's previous cases, including another bus which nearly plunged from the Ortigas flyover in 2012. The LTFRB said these incidents reflect negligence on the part of the company which endangers public safety. The revocation includes all 78 units of Don Mariano.
