MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine task force for the 2014 Asian Games will be sending just over 100 athletes to Incheon, South Korea in September. Sports officials have encouraged national sports associations to submit the names of athletes who deserve to represent the country in the 17th Asiad. The country’s sports commission will again look at the performance of all nominated athletes in recent international competitions. The deadline for the submission of the athletes’ credentials will be in August. The Asiad is set to take place from September 19 to October 4. -- Mornings @ ANC, February 26, 2014.
