Commuters had to suffer through long lines at the MRT EDSA-Quezon Avenue station this morning after the 4:30 am first trip got delayed. The MRT's operating hours were moved earlier from 5:30 am to 4:30 am to ease the huge volume of passengers, but the trains failed to make the earlier trip today due to the maintenance equipment that got stuck in the line. The first train finally left the North Avenue station at 5:15 am. Some commuters opted to take the bus instead, saying the travel time with traffic along EDSA is the same as the waiting time at the MRT. With report from Kori Quintos, ABS-CBN News.
