Nakuha na ulit ng Pilipinas ang Category 1 status mula sa Federal Aviation Administration ng Estados Unidos matapos itong bawiin noong 2008. Ibig sabihin, puwede nang magdagdag ng mga flight pa-Amerika ang mga Philippine carrier.
