To address the surge in the number of commuters during the Holy Week break, the LTFRB has issued nearly 600 special permits that will enable bus companies to offer extra trips and ply routes outside their franchises. But LTFRB spokesperson Atty. Mary Ann Salada warns bus firms can only ply the route specified in the special permit. She said bus firms that violate LTFRB rules face stiffer penalties.
