This was the incredible moment a mother humpback whale had some fun with a tour group by breaching just metres away from their boat.

The clip, filmed August 20 in Vava’u, Tonga, shows the mother whale launching into the air before slamming back into the sea sending water flying over the tourists.

“We had a few swims with them and mom woke up and decided it was time for some fun. She started breaching several times next to the boat, putting on a show for us - her last one only feet from the stern,” the filmer told Newsflare.
