Inaccurate Vaccine Info Facebook and Instagram

now be directed to the World Health
Organization's (WHO) research, via pop-ups. U.S. users will be directed
to the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention. Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director General WHO, via CNBC The WHO has described the
spread of false vaccine information
as "a major threat to global health." The WHO says such inaccurate
information could even "reverse
decades of progress made in
tackling preventable diseases.” In 2019, the U.S. has been host
to 1,234 measles cases in 31 states. That number is triple the amount of
cases from 2018 and the most in
almost three decades. Public health experts have
largely placed the blame for the
significant uptick in measles cases
on online anti-vaccination content.
