Thousands of Indonesians gathered in Jakarta on Thursday (September 12) to mourn former president Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie or BJ Habibie, who passed away on Wednesday.

The funeral at the Kalibata Heroes Memorial Park, where President Joko Widodo led the ceremony.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail represented Malaysia in paying last respect to Habibie.
