Beijing, Sep 12 (EFE).- Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev kicked off the second day off his two-day official visit to China on Thursday by meeting with the country's top lawmaker, Li Zhanshu, who described the president's trip as the start of "a new historical stage" in bilateral relations.
"Yesterday, you and (Chinese) President Xi Jinping...stated in a joint statement that the two sides will be developing a strategic partnership," Li, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, told Tokayev.
