VB Chandrasekhar suicide probe led police to Tamil Nadu Premier League betting investigation.police sources say that they discovered information about a possible betting racket while investigating the suicide of former Indian national cricketer and TNPL team owner VB Chandrasekhar.

15 अगस्त 2019 को भारत के पूर्व क्रिकेटर वीबी चंद्रशेखर ने सुसाइड कर लिया था. अपने बेडरूम के पंखे में वीबी चंद्रशेखर ने फांसी लगा ली थी. आत्महत्या करने से पहले वीबी चंद्रशेखर ने कोई नोट भी नहीं लिखा था. जिसकी वजह से पुलिस को कोई सुराग नहीं मिल सका. कहा जा रहा था कि क्रिकेट बिजनेस में हुए घाटे की वजह से वीबी चंद्रशेखर डिप्रेशन में चले गये थे. और यही मौत का कारण भी बना.
